| The Hawkeye Area Classic Chevy
Club is continuing to work on it's 1955 Chevrolet Belair Fire Chief project car. JUNE UPDATE: It has been just a
little over 24 hours since some of you have last seen our project car, FCC ( Fire Chief
Car ) As you can see we now have the door decals on.
We then took FCC to Dennys Muffler
for a new tail pipe hanger.
While there a representative from
Millhiser-Smith Insurance stopped in and took some photos.
While at Dennys we received a phone
call stating that our rechromed bumpers were in. Our journey then took us 2 blocks to
Jims Tuneup where we made our grand entrance with lights and siren. ( what a rush )
Jim will align the front end and install a new fuel pump. Mike and I picked up the bumpers
and he has them now. There were only 9 pieces.
Here are the most recent pictures of the car. It has
begun to take shape.
As you can tell from the picture the
FCC is progressing along quite well. The picture below was taken in front of Central Fire
station. The car had its first photo session, with Dave Koch taking photos to be
used for the official printed program.
