I found my '55 Chevy in a newspaper ad in 1992. The car was Silver/Dark Gray. I showed it for one year like that, then Steve Yoder, at his Sharon Center, Iowa body shop changed the color to an undercoat of light blue with a '61 Chevy White/Roman Red paint job. The Interior and trunk both have a Ciadella '61 Chevy design in Red & White.  The car is powered by a 355 with a Saginaw 3-speed with Hurst shifter and a 3.08 rearend gear.

We bought our '56 Bel Air in December of 1990. I decided to fix it up as a '50's-'60's mild custom. The motor is a "tri-power" topped 327, backed up by a 400 tranny. The hood was shaved and louvered. It also features a 1960 Impala steering wheel, one-piece front bumper and a station wagon rear bumper. Future plans include Tuck-n-Roll upholstery, frenched antenna and shaved door handles.

After years of searching for a nice, rust-free '57 hardtop, I came across this super clean Bel Air 2 door sedan. It was about two miles from my home and had been owned for 20 years by another member of CCI. It was not quite what I wanted, but it was so clean and original that I decided to go for it. I assured the owner I would give it a good home and make it even better.

I acquired my '55 beauty, this Emerald Green/Cream 2-door post, through a very good friend. It features a 4-speed T-10, 355 cu., Weld wheels and Delray interior. This classic was sold to me on the spot for a very reasonable price. My future plans for it include new paint and hood louvers. My wife and I enjoy crusing on weekends very much. My Classic was also on the 1995 HACCC T-Shirt and dash plaque for our car show.  Gary & Donna Scheetz #102587

On a cold, 10-below-zero New Years day in 1993, we bought our '56 Nomad. We drove it home that day from Illinois. It took four quarts of oil to get it home , because of a cracked piston ring, but we made it. In July of '93, I overhauled the 327 after boring the block to .030 over and added new pistons and valves. It took all winter to install a new steering sector and column kit, and install the motor. The car also has AM Racing "Outlaw II" wheels and BFG TA radials, JVC Sound System.

It all started back in High School in '62. My first car was a '57 Chevy Convertible. After I served for Uncle Sam, and four children later, my wife Sheila and I found a "tired" 1957 "150" 2-door sedan we could afford. I had the opportunity to obtain a 1957 fuel-injected Corvette engine. It took two years for it's restoration - But, it ws worth it! Don & Sheila Janda #85660

I bought my Nomad in 1971 from my brother in San Francisco, CA. for $20.00.

We brought it back to Iowa in 1975. Slowly, we updated the car as the money became available. This '56 has a 327 with a Turbo 350 trans., 10-bolt rear-end and power disc brakes. The Nomad has been driven to both coasts and many states in between.
